YGHP DIRECT HIU DATA SHEET

The YGHP direct heat interface unit is specifically designed for only radiator heating and instantaneous DHW preparation with thermostatic control.

It has all necessary components (e.g. valves, heat exchangers, pipes, fitting and connections) to deliver convenient and efficient DHW and heating.

The direct heat interface unit has 3 output powers based on the number of plates of its heat exchanger: 33, 45, or 70kW.

COMPONENTS

The DHW thermostatic control valve (Figure below) is a simple yet reliable device for accurate temperature control that works without power supply and active control. These valves can ensure virtually constant temperatures. The thermostatic control valves are optimized for minimal idle consumption.

Each HIU is equipped with a DHW brazed plate heat exchanger (Figure below) to transfer heat from the heating supply to the HIU for DHW preparation. In the YGHP HIU the DHW heat exchanger has optimized asymmetric plate geometries that combine extraordinary thermal efficiency with a low pressure drop and low return temperatures.

Each YGHP Indirect HIU is equipped with a differential pressure control valve (Figure below) which balances the system to react to pressure variations in variable flow systems. In hydronic heating systems with a HIU, the differential pressure control valve prevents high pressure difference on the HIU by providing the necessary conditions to achieve the desired flow distribution in the system. The differential pressure control valve balances all components of the HIU system. In the HIU, differential pressure control valve with size of DN20, Kvs of 2.5 m3/h, ∆P Setting Range of 20-65 kPa, and Nominal Pipe Size of ¾” is used.

All YGHP heating interface units come equipped with state of the art thermal casing, made from EPP or Expanded Polypropylene.

This ensure that the unit is reaching its maximum thermal potential and reducing heat-loss to a minimum.

The HIU is equipped with an Expansion Vessel to maintain constant pressure in the system.

The Expansion Vessel is made from rubber diaphragm fixed membrane and according to the standards established by PED 2014/68/UE and DIN EN 13831 regulations.

The shock arrestor is fitted to stop water hammer and absorb any pressure from water to avoid pipes banging/vibration throughout the hydraulic action 

To connect the HIU and the piping system of apartment, mounting plates are used. These plates have 8 ball valves and a flushing by-pass.

Each secured on a galvanized steel plate, ball valves are connected with G ¾” male thread connections.

Flushing by-pass enables the flushing and venting of the system before commissioning the HIU.
